A survey on all known (with email
address) Toyota service centres in New Zealand was conducted on 13 July
2001. All contact details (email addresses) were collected from www.toyota.co.nz
where they're indicated as service centres. below are details on how this
survey was done:

Emails were sent out at 11pm Thursday
12th July 2001, which should give enough time for the service centres to
respond within a day (assuming they check emails everyday :)

63 emails were sent.

Each service centre received an individual
email, which means i have hit 'send' 63 times. This is to avoid the misunderstanding
of spamming them.

9 questions were asked, some of them
were collected from the MR2 mailinglist, although not all are used to build
the service
centre guide section:

do you give discounts to MR2 drivers/owners?
if yes, on what and how much?

do you give discounts to New Zealand
MR2 Owners Club members? if yes, on what and how much?

do you have particular expertise in
servicing MR2 (staff, equipment etc) - If so what are they???

The response time was recorded only
when all questions were answered. A simple reply of "oh we'll get back
to you asap" didn't count :)

A rating will be calculated for each
centre in the later date, basically based on the percentage (importance)
of each question (need MR2DOG visitors' input for sure!). This hopefully
will help visitors finding a good service centre quickly (rather than having to
read all info and analyse them :)
